Needle felting Tips by Anna Long:

After felting my piece, I like to 'scratch' the surface lightly with one of the felting needles to produce a fur effect...you then can trim with fine scissors.

I have made a one piece muzzle for Snowball. Roll a smaller ball in the same fashion that you made the head. Attach the ball to the face while it is still 'soft' and continue to felt to the head.

To create Snowball's expression: I did extra felting at the top and bottom of the eye...by creating a tiny depression in the felt it appears she is sad.

To create smaller ears: you can wind the wool around a (dull ended) darning needle instead of the skewer.

Anna needlefelted her first bear from one of our kits in late August 2004, by December of the same year...we just HAD TO have her making bears for us!!
Anna often has bears for adoption or can make you a Special bear by commission.
